Improving environmental performance can boost profits, too

A machine’s running costs are normally a good indicator of its consumption of environmental resources. These costs are expensive and are only increasing year after year. Therefore it is a mistake to ignore running costs when choosing manufacturing equipment. Over a seven-year operating life of a pick & place machine, for example, these costs can easily reach, or even surpass, the initial investment costs.
