The goal of this internship is the design and the realization of a test
rig, enabling pick processes with extreme short cycle times. This test rig
will be used to push the limits regarding the output of Assembléon
component placers.
The test rig will consist of a small, light weight actuator with adjustable motion profiles. In particular, the jerk and accelerations of the picking actions are to be increased far beyond current levels. The test rig has to be able to actually pick components from a tape feeder. Within the Application and Process Centre, the test rig will be used for validation of roadmap plans.
