Assembléon

Internship Reliability improvement and prediction based on user profile analysis

Key areas of responsibility

Assembléon is a manufacturer of component mounting systems. These systems are designed to ensure a high level of reliability and flexibility. One of the items that has to be proven during development of new systems is the reliability.
The past has shown that there is a relation between the reliability and the way a system is used. This together with the growing flexibility makes it complex to prove the reliability.
Previous research has resulted in user profiles: parameters that define the use of the system by customers.
The goal of this research is to find techniques and methods based on the user profiles to improve and predict the reliability of new systems and to improve the user profile definition with relevant parameters.
In that way the study has to make the link between developing new systems and the use under real conditions.
