The senior integral project manager is responsible for a cluster of
development projects that are related to each other.
- Every product creation project has an individual business target like a
product option, a quality improvement step or cost-price reduction
- An average size of one project is about 10 fte. Depending on the
project the team exists of members from mechatronics, software, application
/ acceptance testing, customer support, manufacturing, purchasing and
product management
- Although a formal product creation process is used (including formal
milestones etc), the physical deliveries to customers and its customer
satisfaction are leading. The goal is to have as early as possible real
customer confrontations. The project also includes all deliverables for
customer support, manufacturing and sales
- The project manager operationally reports to the director a program
management and functionally / hierarchically to the Resource &
Competence manager
Key areas of responsibility
- Every project-cluster is headed by the senior project manager in
cooperation with a product manager (the formal customer/business
representative) and a system engineer (formal technical responsible). All
trade-offs in Time / Quality / Costs and Functionality are continuously
managed by this triangle. As leader of the triangle you are personally
responsible for all commitments.
- Every project-cluster has interaction with other project-clusters and
has to deal with many stakeholders (development suppliers, customers,
regional sales and service offices and many headquarter departments). The
project manager continuously manages this complex environment to keep the
team focused and to keep the external perceptions clear.
- Ensuring the proper resources and dealing with many constraints
(infrastructure, working processes etc)

- Technical skills to control and lead the contents of the
project-cluster
- Worked for several years in a high-tech product development
- Proven project management skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent teambuilding and communication skills
