Industry Leading Pick & Place Performance
Assembléon demonstrates Industry Leading Pick & Place Performance
Veldhoven (The Netherlands), August 30, 2007
Working equipment platforms show easy integration into a line, with unique performance guarantees
Assembléon is showing its three Pick & Place platforms at Productronica
(Munich, 13-16 November, Hall A4 Stand 179). Alongside the complete
A-Series will be the MG-1 and MG-8 (M-Series) and Opal-Xii and Opal-Xii FP
(X-Series). Modular equipment design makes it easy to scale production
volumes up and down, even producing single prototypes. All machines work
with high product mixes in automotive, industrial, telecom, consumer and
related sectors.
The open-architecture Assembléon Manufacturing Suite ensures easy
integration with other electronic manufacturing software. The award-winning
Installed Base Solutions helps bring a unique performance guarantee for the
production line including defects per million (dpm), first-pass yield,
traceability, flexibility and support levels.
A-Series provides single-digit dpm performance
All three A-Series machines (AX-201, AX-301 and AX-501) will be at Productronica, including a production line made up of the AX-501 and AX-201. The A-Series brings best-in-class first-pass yield, with single-digit dpm performance – the industry benchmark. Accuracy for complex, fine-pitch and odd-form components is as good as 25 microns at 4 sigma. Product changeovers take typically less than 6 minutes. Output scales up or down without affecting the line footprint.
M-Series suits complex component mixes
Assembléon’s M-Series brings fast, accurate and versatile placement for medium and large batches with complex component mixes. The MG-1 and MG-8 eliminate placement defects using a 3-D co-planarity camera and side view camera, and have optional Force Control. They self-calibrate, and are self maintaining.
X-Series for lean manufacturing
The X-Series brings cost-effective lean manufacturing for small and medium batches. It offers the fastest route from CAD data to first products. Machines are easily optimized for ultra-high feeder count and large boards – customers simply mix and match modules to suit.
