Lower defects can save >$500k per line per year
Customer evaluations showed rework costs for Assembléon’s Pick & Place equipment to be some 3 to 6 times lower (depending on speed) for 50,000 to 200,000 components per hour. That can save millions of Euros yearly on high-volume lines.
Rework costs can be cut to a sixth using Assembléon’s Pick & Place machines
The savings are particularly impressive at high total placement speeds
because the stability of Assembléon’s Pick & Place technique means
defects per million do not rise greatly. With single digit DPMO levels,
cost effective production and rework is also possible in high labor cost
countries.
The savings potential is such that the labor component in manufacturing
becomes less important, allowing profitable production of more
