Work order traceability

The Traceability Interface provides 4 key features for traceability:

1. Board Traceability/Reference designator. Board Traceability contains traceability information about each individual board produced by a machine. This product will typically be used together with 3rd party software, 100% accurate on part-number level. In combination with the process data interface it includes toolbit and feeder PPM/errors for the board. Reference designator list as actual build. Includes also part consumption per board .
2. Batch Traceability. At this level data contains summarized information about all boards produced during an hour and the components used to produce these boards.
3. Job Traceability. At this level data contains summarized information about all the components used during an order. Job-level traceability information does not contain data about the produced boards.
4. Feeder notification, which enables feeder handling monitoring.

Do you need to know on which boards a specific component has been placed then you have a need for traceability software. Assembléon can offer you solutions on different levels:

• Our machines can be equipped with an interface based on the open CAMX format standard. In this way you can integrate the Assembléon machines in the MES environment of your own choice.
• We can also offer you a fully integrated solution based on Mentor Graphics Valor MSS Traceability. The trace data will be send from the machines via the CAMX interface to a host system and there it will be stored in a database. With a powerful report generator you can trace the history of materials used in production according to vendor data including the manufacturer’s part number, batch, date code, unique reel ID or production work-order.

You can decide how much detail you need to have for the traceability level. If you produce for the automotive or medical industries you need to know all the detail you can get but for other industries sometimes less detail is also sufficient. Therefore with Assembléon you can order the amount of details that fits your need:

•  Job - Work-order based traceability:
Reporting can identify which materials were used for each part number on each work-order

•  PCB – Reference designator- based traceability:
Reporting can identify which materials were used for each reference designator on a PCB
