Course objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

Operate the AMS programming User Interface
Setup and configure the AMS system for the targeted production facility:
Setup, edit and maintain the component database
Setup, edit and maintain the machine database
Maintain consistency between the AMS databases and the actual data on the production line
Import CAD-files in AMS and prepare them for optimization
Create placement programs for individual products as well as for family products
Implement specific production preconditions in the optimization process

Course Content

Set up the AMS programming software
Set up component and mark database
Perform optimization for one machine or line
Define machines and lines
Prepare CAD files and import PCB data
Create and optimize a PCB from written data
Transfer of machine programs to the applicable machines
