Tray feeders
The MC-8 processes trays via different feeder systems in order to provide the most convenient way of handling.
Double shuttle tray sequencer
The double shuttle tray sequencer (d-LCS) is an auxiliary unit for feeding
components from trays, and has no impact on PCB width or feeder slots. The
feeder holds a maximum of 60 pallets (in four magazines). A tray magazine
(15 pallets max.) allows offline setup of trays and is easily
exchangeable.
Rejected components can be placed on a re-use feeder which transports the
component out of the system while production continues to run. The
component can then be tested and corrected and can be put back into
production.
The d-LCS allows tray change on-the-fly.
Single ATS tray feeder
The single ATS tray feeder (s-ATS) is directly connected to the rear of the
machine, allowing high speed feeding of tray components and direct picking
from the tray. The feeder can hold a maximum of 30 pallets (in two
magazines).
The s-ATS allows tray change on the fly. While trays are in the working
area, other trays can be exchanged.
Internal tray feeder
The internal tray feeder is mounted inside the work envelope of the machine. It allows high-speed feeding of tray components and direct picking from tray.
