Course objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Operate the machine safely
- Work with the terminology and working principles of the machine
- Load / unload feeders
- Perform a complete product change-over
- Edit, maintain and troubleshoot component and fiducial data
- Edit, maintain and troubleshoot placement programs
- Interpret online MIS data
- Perform simple preventive maintenance (clean the machine)
- Troubleshoot feeder and nozzle problems
Course Content
- Identify general operational concepts of the machine
- Locate or define the functions of all major assemblies of the machine
- Perform a pre-start operation, power-up and power-down the machine
- Edit a product program
- Do on-line programming
- Understand and use Component Database and Mark Database
- Remove and replace nozzles
- Load components onto the feeders, fir feeders to the machine
- Select a product program and run production
- Manipulate the machine through selected screens
- Use Shell Manager
- Understand and use the machine optimizer
- Interpret MIS data to evaluate machine performance
- Perform operator level preventive maintenance as specified in the
Operator Manual
- Identify and correct errors that can occur during normal machine
operation
