The placement rate of the AX-501 can be scaled in small steps between 30k and 121k components per hour (IPC 9850). Scaling is achieved without compromising placement accuracy or altering the machine’s footprint. This machine delivers exceptionally high first-pass yield, and line performance results with single-digit defects per million.

From within its small footprint, the output of the AX-501 can be scaled in small steps between 30k and 121k components per hour (IPC 9850), without compromising placement accuracy. With up to 260 pick positions, the AX-501 handles a wide range of components from 01005 to IC packages measuring 45 x 45 mm (including fine-pitch QFP, BGA, μBGA and CSP). It also places components up to 10.5 mm tall (over a length of 10.5 mm). Reliability is assured with a placement accuracy of 40 microns at 3 sigma.
